Air Export Specialist
About the role
The Air Export Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the movement of customer air export shipments. This position involves coordinating with overseas offices and domestic agents, facilitating shipment arrangements, and maintaining detailed tracking and updates.
Responsibilities
- Strong understanding of Air Export regulations and documentation
- Pro-active and solution-oriented mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Covers coordination with overseas offices and domestic agents
- Facilitates air shipment arrangements, determines efficient routing methods, bookings, and deliveries
- Updates customers on shipment status and addresses inquiries
- Completes daily checklists to meet KPI goals
- Tracks and traces shipments from door to door
- Maintains status updates and supporting notes in Cargowise and Salesforce
- Communicates with dispatch and works with various transportation and warehouse agents
- Ensures compliance with TSA standards and IACSSP program requirements
Requirements
- Proficient use of computer systems and applications (MS Office, Teams, Word, Excel, Cargowise, Exworks, TMS, EDM)
- Works independently with minimal supervision
- Takes personal responsibility for work quality and timeliness
- Resolves customer problems promptly and collaborates with team members
- Communicates effectively and demonstrates active listening
- Seeks to find root causes and implement process improvements
- Plans and organizes work, manages time well, and handles multiple tasks simultaneously

Pay
The pay rate for this role is $29.00-32.00/hr., in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), with a 60-day probation period. The position offers a competitive base salary plus role-dependent performance-based incentives.
