Agriculturist / Church Planter - Senegal

This role benefits the spiritual, physical, and economic well-being of local communities in Senegal.

Responsibilities

  • Share the gospel with those you connect with and help them to grow spiritually.
  • Model, teach, and promote agricultural practices (of crops and/or animals) that improve communities’ diet, productivity, and financial position.
  • Form discipleship relationships through agriculture.
  • Provide expertise in various agricultural or animal husbandry practices, including input to generate economic benefit that may be derived after implementation of these methods.

Requirements

  • Training or experience in Muslim ministry, evangelism, and discipleship.
  • A heart to focus on the spiritual journey of people while addressing their physical realities.
  • Training or experience in an agricultural domain (such as animal husbandry or growing crops), and a willingness and ability to adapt that to the local realities.
  • An internship with the Beersheba Project in Senegal will provide local skills as part of onboarding.
  • Good language learning skills.
  • Grit: Ability to live in a challenging environment.

Qualifications

  • Intermediate level of French needed to collaborate with stakeholders and promote agricultural programs.
