Aging Case Aide 2 (Local Government)

Responsibilities
- Review and record incoming referrals received through telephone calls, mail, faxes, police reports, and other sources
- Create fliers, calendars, spreadsheets, and other materials for advertising and organizational purposes using Microsoft software
- Screen calls, identify presenting problems, provide information, and collect detailed referral data
- Determine benefits eligibility and assist consumers with completing applications for programs such as prescription coverage, tax rebates, housing, and transportation
- Document all consumer contacts with thorough and accurate case histories, resolutions, and dispositions
- Participate in wellness fairs, coordinate holiday gift events, and offer guidance on agency services and community resources
Schedule
Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework is not an option in this position.
Requirements
- One year as an Aging Case Aide 1; or
- Two years of public contact work, including one year in a human services program; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training
