After-School Daycare Worker - Part-Time

About the role

Fulfill all duties and responsibilities as the lead caregiver for the Wood Elementary students enrolled in the after-school daycare program.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small group of elementary-age students.
• Help design engaging and safe lesson plans and activities.
• Maintain appropriate communication with parents.
• Ensure the care, safety, and well-being of all children in the group.
• Serve as a professional role model representing Wood Elementary.
• Participate in required local and state training.
• Perform other duties necessary to maintain a quality program.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred experience working with elementary-age students.

Physical Requirements

• Mostly light work involving walking, bending, sitting on the floor with children, or standing.
• May occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Schedule

• Follows Lexington School District Two’s school calendar for student attendance.
• Regular hours: 2:30–6:30 pm.
• Early release days: 11:30 am–6:30 pm.
