Afterschool Daycare Worker - Temporary Part-Time

About the Role

Fulfill all duties and responsibilities as a caregiver for the Wood Elementary students enrolled in the after-school daycare program.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small group of students.
• Help design lesson plans and activities that are engaging and safe.
• Maintain appropriate communication with parents.
• Ensure the care, safety, and well-being of all children in the group.
• Serve as a model for professionalism and representation of Wood Elementary.
• Participate in assigned training (local, state).
• Perform other duties necessary to maintain a quality program for elementary-aged children.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred experience in working with elementary-age students.

Physical Requirements

• Mostly light work involving walking, bending, sitting on the floor with children, or standing.
• May occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Schedule

Follows Lexington School District Two's school calendar for student attendance. Staff will be present from 2:30–6:30 pm on regular days and 11:30 am–6:30 pm on early release days.
