Daycare Worker (part-time)

About the role
The Daycare Worker ensures children are actively involved and well cared for. They are expected to use various learning methods such as stories, games, and art to intellectually stimulate the children. They are responsible for following proper procedures for changing diapers/potty training, feeding, and maintaining the room's safety. Must be able to work with the daily ebb and flow of daycare life.
Responsibilities
- Communicating with center families effectively and professionally.
- Adapting to the children's developmental needs and executing the daycare's curriculum accordingly.
- Be properly prepared during emergency situations, such as fire drills, medical emergencies, etc.
- Maintaining an open line of communication amongst fellow daycare workers, teachers and management.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.
Qualifications
- CPR - Adult or CPR - Child.
- First Aid Program.
Regular contact with medical personnel and its visitors.
Pay
Minimum rate of $18.50 hourly. The posted rate of pay is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting and does not reflect the full value of our market-competitive total rewards package. The base compensation determined at the time of the offer may vary based on factors including labor market data, experience, education, certifications, skills, geographic location, internal equity, budget, and grant funding.
