Essential Functions
- Maintain a physically safe environment that encourages wellness and physical development
- Create a bias-free environment that reflects the diversity of participants and provides activities that explore and honor differences between individuals
- Provide opportunity for youth to develop peer relationships, practice appropriate group behaviors, and demonstrate respect for others
- Cookordinate 21stCCLC services with Orondo School Staff ensuring that both academic and activity goals supplement and enhance the students' program of instruction
- Collaborate with the Orondo School's School Improvement Team to develop an out of school program that supports academic achievement and physical and leadership development of students in grades K-8
- Demonstrate management skills necessary for program implementation such as resourcefulness, time management, and supervision of program staff, record keeping and collaboration with stakeholders
- Supervise project assistants working in the 21stCCLC program
- Collaborate with the Orondo School Principal in the development of performance reviews for staff serving in the 21stCCLC
- Build relationships with families and other organizations in the community that encourage support of and involvement in the program
- Cookordinate afterschool clubs and parent volunteers
- Cookordinate with the Orondo School District Principal and the Orondo School District Home Visitor to publicize 21stCCLC programs and to recruit student and family participation
- Act in a professional manner including adherence to program policies and commitment to professional growth by pursuing opportunities to enhance skills
- Cookordinate with community partners and volunteers
- Cookordinate the evaluation of the 21stCCLC with the external evaluator and provide for internal evaluation of program services
- Monitor student progress and use these data to revise 21stCCLC services as needed to maximize student success
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required
- Knowledge of proper English grammar, spelling, and usage in both oral and written communication
- Ability to handle confidential matters and information in a professional manner
- Ability to work in an atmosphere where interruptions occur frequently and priorities are often modified using a high degree of flexibility
- Ability and willingness to upgrade skills to maintain the highest level of efficiency and high quality
