About the role
The Department of African American Studies at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer pool. We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student centered to teach in the following subject areas: African American Culture, African American History, African American Literature, Ethnic Studies.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses in African American Studies, African American History, African American Literature, and Ethnic Studies.
- Interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
- Engage in innovative interdisciplinary pedagogy.
Requirements
- Hold at least a Master’s degree in African American Studies, Ethnic Studies, or a related field.
- Experience working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment.
- Preference given to scholars demonstrating innovative approaches to interdisciplinary pedagogy.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in African American Studies, Ethnic Studies, or a related field.
- PhD in African American Studies, Ethnic Studies, or a related field preferred.
Skills
- Ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students.
- Experience in working with diverse populations.
