Affordable Housing Superintendent | Syracuse, NY
About the role
A well-established real estate developer and builder with over 40 years of experience delivering large-scale residential communities is seeking a Superintendent to oversee the rehabilitation of an affordable housing development in the Syracuse area. This individual will lead day-to-day field operations, coordinating subcontractors, managing site logistics, and ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. Responsibilities
- Manage daily field operations for a large-scale affordable housing rehabilitation project.
- Coordinate subcontractors, site logistics, and construction sequencing to ensure the project stays on schedule.
- Enforce site safety, quality control, and compliance with project specifications across all trades.
- Review construction drawings and specifications and ensure work is performed accordingly.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to track project progress, inspections, RFIs, and documentation.
- Identify and resolve field issues and coordination challenges as they arise.
Requirements
- Experience serving as a Superintendent on multi-family residential renovation or rehabilitation projects.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, subcontractor coordination, and site management.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Comfortable leading field operations on mid-to-large scale residential construction projects.

Pay
$100,000 - $160,000 base salary, depending on experience.
