Aerospace Production - Laminator Lead, 1st Shift

About the role

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and scheduling to team members in their daily activities.
• Assign work, give directions, and monitor work progress.
• Handle product movement and dispatch coordination.
• Effectively communicate needs, priorities, and issues to the Supervisor, relevant departments, logistics, engineering, and production management.
• Promote flow and pull of products and information to internal and external customers.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve issues.
• Train and orient new employees on company standards and procedures.
• Implement 5S tools and reduce variation in the work environment.
• Develop employees’ continuous improvement abilities.
• Use and develop visual systems so that no problems are hidden.
• Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior.
• Ensure company goals and objectives are being met by each employee and provide constructive feedback.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge related to the field of manufacturing and warehouse operations.
• Communication skills in a clear, approachable, professional, and proactive manner; provide strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining perspective.
• Be creative, flexible, and able to drive/guide change.
• Able to multi-task, follow through, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years supervision experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Demonstrated technical work proficiency in the department assigned to.
• Basic computer skills.

Education

• High School education or GED preferred.

Position Team Leads

• Workers who have a high degree of technical proficiency in their jobs, who serve as intermediaries between their supervisor and employees.
• Serve as mentors and trainers for their work area.

Pay

SEKISUI Aerospace is required by Washington law to include the pay for this role when hiring a Washington resident. Pay may be higher or lower for non-resident WA employees, based on the market data for their region, allowing us to pay employees competitively in different geographic markets. Please note that the pay rate shown above is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
