Job Summary
Cyient is seeking a MRB individual with 10-15 years of experience in aerospace, aircraft structure, and/or design. US citizenship or permanent resident status is required due to the nature of the work.
Responsibilities
- Follow established engineering principles to determine the sequence of steps or processes required to fabricate and assemble products meeting quality and cost standards.
- Analyze product specifications, parts drawings, and other engineering data to develop new production processes, estimate time requirements for each step, and prepare operation sheets.
- Analyze existing production processes and develop recommendations for changes to working methods or operation sequences that minimize risks, costs, and wastage; increase yields and productivity; and improve the quality and consistency of final products.
- Coordinate technical resolution of documented non-conformances on Military, Commercial, and Industrial engine components through interaction with Module / Part Center Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPTs) and Part Family Engineering.
- Evaluate and provide input and data to support corrective action identification and implementation.
- Provide robust assembly engineering certified-MRE coverage and assistance to production operations (Assembly Floor and Test Area via QRC Crib QN dispositions) to ensure production assembly engineering issues are resolved and delivery commitments are met.
- Conduct final disposition for engineering on QNs; review QN's for completeness, B/P for defect description/location, defect class, 502 engineering's recommendation, RRTs, Engine Manual alignment, and deviations.
- Perform comprehensive investigations to ensure design and customer requirements are met.
- Develop cost-effective repairs or rework to restore material that meets design intent and required Engineering Analysis Task 502 data.
- Conduct Engineering technical dispositions including maximum extents for Accept, Repair, or Scrap of QN's requiring / involving MRE action.
- Verify non-conforming characteristic classification (KPC1, KPC2, and minor) of features being dispositioned; and if not listed, enter proper classification.
- Confirm technically correct content and placement of quality inspections for Repair disposition and all dispositioned Repair / Rework Travelers.
Requirements
- MRB Certification and understanding of MRB requirements and procedures.
- Previous Pratt & Whitney experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
- Experience with interpretation of manufacturing drawings.
- Familiarity with engine Design, Manufacturing, and Assembly & Test processes.
- Aerospace background including knowledge of design and aircraft structure.
- Familiarity with Blue Prints.
- Ability to study engineering drawings.
- Ability to do simple calculations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 10-15 years of working experience in aerospace, aircraft structure, or design.
