Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Moog Military Aircraft Group is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team. This position is located onsite at their aerospace manufacturing facility in East Aurora, NY.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and administer cost-effective Quality Programs to meet or exceed contractual quality requirements.
• Administer Quality Programs to ensure products meet or exceed contractual quality requirements and provide the required level of protection to Moog and its customers.
• Support production by conducting QE studies, recommending design changes, and providing quality support to manufacturing personnel.
• Conduct failure analysis, root cause and corrective action analysis, risk mitigation, material review, customer & governmental interface, audit support, configuration control, traceability, and audit support.
• Optimize cost for inspection and prevent cost due to failure through statistical analysis and problem solving.
• Develop Quality plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing operations, assembly & test processes, and final inspection.
• Work directly with customers and suppliers to identify root cause and corrective action.
• Act as the Moog liaison and representative to support Government (DCMA) programs, audits, and requirements.
• Play an important part on program teams in meeting contractual requirements and driving crucial quality-related decisions for customers such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Airbus, and Sikorsky for military aircraft.
• Resolve complex quality problems using a team approach.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• 3 years Professional Experience as an Engineer (Quality, Manufacturing, or Product Engineer) in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work onsite in East Aurora, NY (remote candidates will not be considered).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Quality Engineering experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment or other regulated industry.
• General knowledge in the areas of Root Cause / Corrective Action, LEAN, AS9100 Quality Systems.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Exposure to ERP systems.

Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• 3 years Professional Experience as an Engineer (Quality, Manufacturing, or Product Engineer) in a manufacturing environment.

Pay

$65,000.00–$90,000.00 Annually
