About the role
You own a portfolio of enterprise and scale-up clients end to end. You're accountable for whether they stay, grow, and can explain in their own words what Goodie did for them. The work isn't advisory from a distance. You run onboarding. You hold the cadence. You walk into the call where the CFO wants to know what they're paying for, and you answer with data. AEO isn't SEO 2.0, it's a new discipline, and the clients who hired us are looking at you to tell them what to do.
Responsibilities
- Own the relationship – act as the primary strategic lead for a portfolio of enterprise and scale-up clients, from kickoff through renewal.
- Own onboarding end to end: kickoff, workspace and prompt setup, competitive baseline, stakeholder enablement.
- Build a relationship map on every account; confirm the executive sponsor, multi‑thread beyond your champion, re‑onboard new stakeholders when people move.
- Protect and grow the book – own retention outcomes on your portfolio, with a weekly read on account health; distinguish leading indicators from lagging ones, and frame movement against the client's own business objectives rather than platform metrics.
- Forecast risk and expansion early, and bring both to the account lead with the observation and the context.
- Lead quarterly business reviews for enterprise accounts.
- Build AEO strategies that maximize visibility across LLMs and AI search surfaces, and deliver the audit, strategy deck, and roadmap that go with them.
- Make concrete technical recommendations (schema, llms.txt, crawlability, entity structure) prioritized so a client's dev or agency team can actually ship them.
- Read citation patterns, source types, and competitor behavior across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and AI Overviews, and turn that into a point of view.
- Present to executives, marketers, and technical teams, often in the same room, without losing either audience.
- Close the loop internally – bring client signal to Product with enough specificity to act on.
- Develop case studies and references alongside Business Development.
- Turn what you learn across accounts into frameworks the rest of the team runs.
Requirements
- 4+ years in customer success, account strategy, SEO, content strategy, or search marketing, with real client ownership rather than participation on someone else's account team.
- A track record leading multiple client
