About the role
As a traffic-management advisor, you help minimize the impact of disruptions on the national highway network and provide the right advice to road users. You prepare operations, act as a think tank, develop new approaches, and drive innovation within the traffic-control center.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with colleagues from various departments to prepare operational processes in the traffic-control center, ensuring traffic controllers are optimally prepared during their shifts.
- Write protocols for road closures, detours, and large events that affect traffic flow.
- Support experienced advisors on operational processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain close contact with colleagues at other traffic-control centers and regional partners, including road authorities.
Team
You will work alongside colleagues from different departments to prepare operational processes, ensuring traffic controllers are well-prepared. You oversee the execution of these processes and, with your experience, quickly identify opportunities for improvement. In addition to collaborating with the Utrecht-based team, you will engage with enthusiastic colleagues from other traffic-control centers and maintain strong relationships with regional partners in the central Netherlands.
