About the role

We’re looking for an Advertising & Partnerships Lead to grow strategic partnerships across the global art ecosystem. This role is designed for someone deeply embedded in the art world who can open doors immediately — someone who has and can build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers across galleries, art fairs, museums, and art-adjacent businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Build and grow partnerships with galleries, museums, art fairs, and art-adjacent businesses across advertising and our portfolio of commercial products.
  • Leverage your existing network within the art world to create immediate commercial opportunities and accelerate partnership growth.
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and relationship development through negotiation, closing, and renewal.
  • Develop strategic, consultative relationships with senior stakeholders across the art ecosystem.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities across our product suite as the business evolves—from advertising and intelligence tools to entirely new offerings in development.

Requirements

  • You have 7+ years of experience in advertising sales, digital media partnerships, or sponsorship sales, ideally within the art, luxury, culture, or lifestyle sectors.
  • You bring an established network within the contemporary art world and can immediately engage senior decision-makers across leading galleries, museums, fairs, and related institutions.
  • You are highly relationship-oriented but also comfortable operating in a metrics-driven environment with clear pipeline and revenue accountability.
  • You understand how brand storytelling, audience engagement, and visual identity contribute to successful advertising partnerships.
  • You are entrepreneurial, self-directed, and excited by the opportunity to help build and shape a growing business function.
  • You communicate with credibility and confidence across both creative and commercial stakeholders.
  • You have experience using Salesforce and sales analytics tools to manage pipeline health and performance reporting.

Qualifications

  • You are currently authorized to live and work in the United States.
  • This role will be based in New York City, with 3+ days/week in-office.
  • This role is unlikely to be a good match if you prefer highly structured environments with established playbooks rather than building processes and partnerships from the ground up.
  • You are uncomfortable balancing relationship-driven sales with increasing accountability around metrics, pipeline management, and performance reporting.

Benefits

Opportunity to reimagine the art industry while working with a talented, diverse, international team.

Competitive salary and equity.

Flexible time off: our culture of trust and empowerment allows employees to take the time they need away from work while still excelling in their roles.

We are a global hybrid team: most employees work from our NYC, London, or Berlin offices 3 days per week. (In-person expectations vary by role)

Comprehensive healthcare & benefit options, including: medical, dental, parental leave, short- and long-term disability, Employee Assistance Program featuring free mental health support, 401k, commuter benefits, flexible spending accounts (FSA), health savings accounts (HSA), financial wellness support & resources, and more.

Professional development, including: mentoring, lunch & learns, regular training, 1:1 management, and an open feedback culture.

Engaging opportunities and internal programming globally, to foster new relationships and build upon our collaborative community. Including: happy hours, holiday parties, global "All Hands" meetings, "Artsy Salon" (a yearly exhibition of our team's creativity), attendance to art world events, and more.

Opportunity to reimagine the art industry while working with a talented, diverse, international team.

Pay

The base salary range for this role is $80,000-$120,000 annually. In addition, you will be eligible for the company’s commission plan.

All compensation packages include meaningful Artsy equity and competitive health benefits.
