Advanced Truck Technician

Pape’ Kenworth, a premier medium and heavy-duty truck and equipment dealer in the West, is seeking an Advanced Truck Technician / Mechanic to join our team. Responsibilities

• Lead diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on medium and heavy Class 7 & 8 trucks.
• Analyze complex mechanical and electronic malfunctions, determine repair strategies, and execute repairs or rebuilds on major systems (engines, transmissions, axles, steering, brakes, clutches, electrical, and air systems).
• Mentor and serve as a technical resource for other technicians in the shop.
• Uphold high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism in every task.
• Maximize uptime by ensuring repairs are completed with precision, efficiency, and lasting quality.
• Work alongside trained technicians in a well-resourced shop environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty Class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic troubleshooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
• Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge; Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work under little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Must provide own tools.

Pay

$40.90–$45.45/hour (depending on experience).
