Role Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider II- Burns is responsible for delivering comprehensive healthcare in designated primary or specialty areas, including patient diagnosis, treatment, education, and referrals. They serve as a clinical resource, role model, and educator for practitioners and students, ensuring high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical activities such as history taking, physical exams, assessments, and ordering tests.
  • Make medical decisions and develop care plans aligned with protocols and consults.
  • Document findings accurately and manage patient follow-up and education.
  • Collaborate with physicians, referring patients as needed to optimize outcomes.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate APP students and contribute to education programs.
  • Stay current with advancements in the field through ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Participate in quality improvement, research, and committee activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and accreditation standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate education: Bachelor's in Physician Assistant or Master's in Nursing with relevant certifications.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience as an APP.
  • Current licensure and certifications, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and specific licensure depending on the role.
  • Strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide patient-centered care, mentor others, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
