Role Overview
The Advanced Practice Provider II- Burns is responsible for delivering comprehensive healthcare in designated primary or specialty areas, including patient diagnosis, treatment, education, and referrals. They serve as a clinical resource, role model, and educator for practitioners and students, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical activities such as history taking, physical exams, assessments, and ordering tests.
- Make medical decisions and develop care plans aligned with protocols and consults.
- Document findings accurately and manage patient follow-up and education.
- Collaborate with physicians, referring patients as needed to optimize outcomes.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate APP students and contribute to education programs.
- Stay current with advancements in the field through ongoing learning and professional development.
- Participate in quality improvement, research, and committee activities.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and accreditation standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate education: Bachelor's in Physician Assistant or Master's in Nursing with relevant certifications.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience as an APP.
- Current licensure and certifications, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and specific licensure depending on the role.
- Strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to provide patient-centered care, mentor others, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
