Advanced Information Systems Specialist

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a specialized area or equivalent relevant experience is required; plus, a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 3 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
• Automatic backlog grooming to identify old/stale Jira tasks that align with current development efforts, paired with recurring issue analysis to surface patterns in bug reports and recommend solutions.
• Using AI to create Jira tickets from meeting notes and feedback, estimate sprint capacity against the backlog, and identify how many items can meaningfully be worked in a given sprint once estimated.
• Adopting a "Technical Debt Eliminator" (aka Backlog Annihilator) pipeline to automate resolution of scoped, low-complexity tickets.
• AI-powered code reviews pre-merge, heavy adoption of AI-generated unit/integration tests for merge request validation, and agentic development workflows sing AI to analyze source code for bugs and improvements against user stories, aid code reviews and "ready testing" ahead of final merge, and expanding into more automated DevSecOps pipeline management.

Pay

Target salary range: USD $116,717.00/Yr. - USD $126,292.00/Yr.

This position is fully on-site. While on-site, you will be a part of the GDMS Manassas team.
