Adult Respiratory Therapist - Full Time - Days or Nights

About the Role

Provide respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support for patients of all ages. Responsibilities include setting up, monitoring, and weaning oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation; drawing and analyzing arterial blood gases and EKGs; delivering intermittent therapy; assisting with artificial airway management; documenting clinical information; educating patients and staff on procedures and treatment plans; performing diagnostic procedures; and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced therapeutic procedures
• Review and document patient information
• Educate patients and colleagues on respiratory care procedures and treatment plans
• Adapt care to individual patient needs
• Ensure compliance with legal and safety standards
• Stay informed on relevant laws and professional standards

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor's preferred)
• Current state license and NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire
• Proficient in computer skills, Windows applications, and data entry
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt procedures to diverse patient populations
