Adult Respiratory Therapist - Full Time - Days/Nights

About the role

Provides respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to in-patients and out-patients across all ages.

Responsibilities

• Performs therapeutic procedures.
• Reviews and documents clinical information.
• Educates patients and staff.
• Conducts diagnostic tests.
• Adapts care to patient needs.
• Supports physicians with treatments.
• Monitors and weans oxygen therapy and ventilation.
• Manages artificial airways.
• Ensures compliance with policies, laws, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (Bachelor's preferred).
• Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist.
• NBRC certification.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Skills

• Proficient in computer use.
• Effective communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt procedures to diverse patient populations.

Physical Demands & Environment

• Must handle heavy physical activity, including lifting and moving objects.
• Works in patient care environments with exposure to biological hazards and infectious materials.
• Flexibility for varied shifts and travel is essential.
