Adult Residential Program Coordinator

About the Role

The Adult Program Coordinator serves as the primary administrative and clinical supervisor for the residential program, managing both clinical and administrative operations of the home. This role ensures compliance with DDS regulatory requirements for residential staffing, oversees physical plant concerns, and assigns responsibilities to Residential Adult ABA Counselors for habilitative services and activities. The Program Coordinator may supervise up to 15 staff.

Melmark New England Adult Services supports adults with autism spectrum disorders, acquired brain injury, neurological diseases and disorders, comorbid mental health disorders, and severe needs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise clinical and administrative operations of the residential program.
• Ensure residential staffing meets DDS regulatory requirements.
• Oversee physical plant concerns of the home.
• Assign responsibilities to Residential Adult ABA Counselors for habilitative services and activities.
• Supervise up to 15 staff members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Human Service Field, or Psychology (preferred).
• Valid US driver's license and minimum age of 21 years.
• Must be capable of attaining approved Melmark driver status.
• Must meet Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) background check requirements.
• Successful completion of employer-provided certification in CPR, First Aid, Crisis Intervention, and Melmark's Orientation Program and New Hire Onsite training program.

Skills

• Strong reading, written, and oral language skills.
• Strong teaching skills, particularly with individuals who are emotionally, behaviorally, physically, and/or developmentally challenged.
• Experience or interest in the principles and application of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), curriculum, and special education (Autism Spectrum Disorders).
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• At least two (2) years of experience with related populations (preferred).
• Advanced skills in educational and clinical services required for this role.

Pay

$62,000–$80,000 based on experience and education.
