Adoption Attorney
About the role
The Adoption Attorney will handle a variety of adoption cases, including domestic and international adoptions, foster care adoptions, and termination of parental rights. They will work closely with families, legal professionals, and social workers to ensure the best possible outcomes for all parties involved.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in court hearings and negotiations
- Prepare and file legal documents related to adoption proceedings
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the adoption process
- Collaborate with other legal professionals and social workers to ensure comprehensive support for adoptive families
Requirements
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school
- Member in good standing of the bar in at least one state
- At least 3 years of relevant legal experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications
- Experience with family law and child welfare issues
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing adoption
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
