About the role
The Adoption Attorney will handle a variety of cases involving the adoption of children, including legal representation, counseling, and advocacy.
Responsibilities
- Advise and represent clients in adoption proceedings
- Prepare and file legal documents related to adoption
- Counsel clients on adoption laws and procedures
- Represent clients in court hearings and negotiations
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to adoptive families
Requirements
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school
- Member in good standing of the California Bar Association
- At least 3 years of relevant legal experience
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
Qualifications
- Experience with family law and child welfare issues
- Knowledge of state and federal adoption laws
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
