About the role
The Admissions Specialist coordinates the admissions process of residents/clients for the Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. They initiate new admissions prospects, conduct tours, schedule appointments, address questions/concerns, and complete necessary documentation.
Responsibilities
- Initiate new admissions prospects
- Conduct tours of the Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for prospective residents
- Schedule appointments with family/Power of Attorney to gather information for the application
- Work closely with the prospective resident and their families to address any questions/concerns
- Complete all required documentation necessary for their admission (including verifying status of applications with Medicaid)
- Engage with outside insurance financial, legal, and medical professionals, organizations, assisted living facilities, hospital discharge planners, and others
- Maintain a waiting list for applicants
Requirements
- Aceessing an Associate degree in a related field
- One (1) year of related experience
- Previous training in Long-Term Care required
- An equivalent combination of education, work and experience will be considered
- A clinical background is preferred
Qualifications
