About the role

Responsibilities

  • Answer the Admissions Inquiry/Application phone line and provide customer service for all CIA campus locations.
  • Assist prospective students, parents, and educators with admissions-based questions, concerns, and issues from inquiry to applicant stage.
  • Perform data entry tasks from prospective student inquiry to applicant stage, including event registration, inquiries, applications, supporting documents, and records maintenance.
  • Timely process all applications and supporting documentation, and communicate specific needs to Admissions Counselors and Enrollment Managers.
  • Manage inventory and shipment of admissions and recruitment materials, as well as giveaways.
  • Support Admissions Counselors and yield teams by working admissions events, conducting outreach, and advising students and families.
  • Run reports to ensure accuracy and operational integrity.
  • Provide other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree or significant work experience in lieu thereof.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience working in higher education student services or in a related professional customer service role, or in a high-volume data entry role.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to be adaptable, dependable, and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate with other department members and work effectively with various aspects of the CIA community.
  • Details oriented and thorough.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability in organizational, time management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to reinforce the CIA’s commitment to prospective students, parents, and other parties.
  • High level of energy and self-motivation.
  • Strong computer experience, including abilities to work effectively with the internet, data entry, and MS Office suite products, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in Higher Education, Admissions, or Financial Aid departments.

Pay

$20.00 per hour

Schedule

Regular work requires a great deal of sitting and standing for extended periods. Regular work requires the use of a computer. Must be able to lift 50 pounds of admissions recruitment material. Must be able to work overtime, extended work hours, and / or later shift coverage to support business needs.
