ADMISSIONS SPECIALIST

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and complete the admission process.
• Ensure hospital records are accurate and up‑to‑date.
• Inform patients of hospital policies.
• Register patients, review demographics, and update insurance information as needed.
• Collect any portion due and obtain patient signatures on required forms.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in healthcare admissions.

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of medical office terminology.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and data entry.

Schedule

• Minimum 24 hours per month plus one summer and one winter holiday (Saturday & Sunday days or nights).
• Regular hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.
• Every other Saturday.
• No holidays required.

This position is classified as safety‑sensitive under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Use and Patient Protection Act (OMMA). Employers may lawfully refuse to hire or may discipline employees in safety‑sensitive roles who test positive for marijuana, even with a valid medical license.
