Responsibilities

  • Monitor hospital admissions platforms and submit intake forms for nursing approval.
  • Coordinate all aspects of new admissions, including insurance authorization and documentation verification.
  • Conduct ICD-10 coding.
  • Conduct tours with adequate knowledge of facility capabilities.
  • Manage 24-hour, Monday-Friday staffing coverage for the nursing department, including preparing and posting schedules and providing availability for staffing and admissions-related issues.
  • Respond to call-offs, manage PTO requests, and reduce reliance on external staffing agencies.
  • Perform on-call staffing coordination as needed.
  • Prepare and submit payroll timesheets.
  • Maintain attendance records and report all concerns to the Director of Nursing.
  • Conduct initial orientation for new nursing staff.
  • Maintain compliance with credentialing vendors and 3rd-party contracts.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the Director of Nursing and Administrator.
  • Outreach and marketing to referral sources and hospital visits to residents in the hospital.
  • Handle credentialing, contracts, vendors, etc.
  • Provide oversight of medical records, including monitoring physician documentation practices and managing chart record requests.
  • Oversee central supply order, receive, label, store, and stock supplies; maintain inventory.
  • Maintain and sanitize facility equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma.
  • At least 18 years of age and of good moral character.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work independently and calmly under pressure.
  • Experience handling confidential information with tact and discretion.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and guidelines.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Pay

Starting pay is $21.00 per hour, with higher rates available based on experience and qualifications.
