Responsibilities
- Fulfills Brookdale referral processes and acceptance guidelines to enhance occupancy and revenue.
- Manages pre-admission and admission processes, ensuring all required activities are completed.
- Participates in outside events and professional groups to increase community awareness.
- Collaborates with the community team to implement business development strategies.
- Drives community occupancy towards achieving and exceeding goals.
- Aids prospective residents, their family members, and referral sources in making informed decisions about admission.
- Responds promptly to inquiries from various referral sources and conducts visits for patients and families.
- Utilizes established sales processes and systems to track all inquiries and referrals.
- Updates interdisciplinary care teams and key associates on the status of prospective admissions.
- Communicates incoming admissions during stand-ups, highlighting their care needs, equipment needs, and personal connections.
- Updates team on estimated times of arrival for admissions.
- Ensures rooms are prepared for admissions with appropriate setup, working equipment, and overall cleanliness.
- Maintains working knowledge of payer sources and utilizes this knowledge effectively to maximize revenue and expedite admissions.
- Completes business development sales calls as assigned and participates in external events.
- Develops and maintains relationships with residents, family members, and professional referral sources.
- Provides and conducts visits about skilled services, programs, outcomes, market advantages, and other relevant information to meet the needs of prospective referral sources and community groups.
- Effectively manages skilled bed availability.
- Builds positive customer service experiences from initial contact through admission and transition to care team.
Qualifications
- High School Education or Equivalent required, College Degree from an accredited university in a related field preferred or equivalent combination of experience and education required.
- Minimum of two to five years of experience in a health care environment, preferably skilled nursing, is required.
- Computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office, are required.
- Frequent car travel requires possession and maintenance of a valid driver’s license.
