About the Facility

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital (a UHS facility) provides inpatient and residential treatment services for ages 5-17. Our treatment programs offer a structured and supportive environment that promotes self-acceptance and helps stabilize patients suffering from acute psychiatric illness. Our multidisciplinary treatment teams consist of psychiatrists, licensed therapists, and highly specialized nurses who collaborate to develop and implement effective and compassionate treatment plans. The facility encompasses a 116-bed acute psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center on a wooded campus with a stocked pond, school, outdoor courtyard, and playground.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention.
• Serve as the initial contact for referral sources and potential patients.
• Coordinate the referral and intake process.
• Determine the appropriate level of care for patients.
• Facilitate the admission process.
• Maintain communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff.

Requirements

• Prior intake, assessment, admission, and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting.
• Registered Nurse (RN) or Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work.
• BSN or licensure/license eligibility for LCSW, LPC, or LMFT preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Successfully complete a drug test and pass a national background check.
• Strong computer skills and excellent communication skills.
• Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent or aggressive behavior.
