Administrator in Training - NHC

About the role

The Administrator-In-Training (AIT) program at National HealthCare Corporation (NHC) is a comprehensive, paid 2-year program designed to develop skilled nursing home administrators. The program includes 360° operational training, leadership development, and licensure preparation based on National Association of Long-Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) domains of practice.

Responsibilities

• Learn core competencies in Clinical, Finance, HR, Compliance, and more
• Strengthen leadership and communication skills
• Gain knowledge in gerontology and/or hands-on experience with the geriatric population
• Relocate within any of the states NHC operates in (Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (Healthcare or Business Administration preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and critical-thinking skills
• Knowledgeable in gerontology and/or hands-on experience with the geriatric population
• Willingness and ability to relocate
