Essential Duties

  • Affords assistance in analyzing the various operations within a nursing facility
  • Serves as a liaison between the nursing facility, residents, families, and the outside community
  • Collects and develops reporting on budget projections, revenue, and expenses
  • Models the Mission, Vision, and Values for the organization
  • Treats all employees, residents, and families with the utmost respect
  • Engages actively in community groups and develops/maintains relationships with local hospital leadership and physicians
  • Maintains awareness of industry regulations, laws, and compliance updates, making necessary changes
  • Adheres to staffing level requirements and industry/company standards
  • Monitors and directs the implementation of policy and procedural changes
  • Participates in resolving HR issues and Risk Management situations within the facility
  • Supports capital improvements and participates in advisory committees
  • Assists in all safety programs
  • Builds and maintains a strong reputation within the industry and community
  • Develops and maintains relationships with the support team (HR/Therapy/Clinical/Finance) to assist with meeting/exceeding goals
  • Supports contract negotiations with vendors under the direction of the Preceptor
  • Supports clinical efforts by understanding Quality Assurance measures and holding people accountable
  • Keeps abreast of collections and accounts receivable on a daily basis
  • Develops and executes creative ideas to increase employee engagement and minimize turnover

Qualifications

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university in Healthcare Administration or Business preferred. Master’s degree or MBA preferred
  • Languages: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products
