About the role
We are a skilled nursing facility seeking a dynamic Associate to join our team and provide exceptional care experiences to our guests. Ideal candidates should have experience in skilled nursing and be interested in becoming a licensed nursing home administrator.
Responsibilities
- Shadow and assist the Administrator in daily operations and decision-making processes
- Oversee multiple departments including nursing, dietary, housekeeping, maintenance, and activities
- Participate in budget development and financial management activities
- Assist with facility inspections and survey preparation
- Learn federal and state regulations governing skilled nursing facilities
- Maintain compliance with CMS, state health department, and OSHA requirements
- Prepare for and participate in regulatory surveys
- Aid in human resources functions such as recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of staff
- Support employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures
- Participate in staff training and development programs
- Schedule and coordinate staffing
- Develop relationships with residents and families
- Assist with admissions process and resident assessments
- Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings
- Handle resident and family concerns and grievances
- Assist with community outreach and marketing initiatives
- Manage census and referral development
- Build relationships with hospitals, physicians, and discharge planners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Enrollment in or eligibility for state Administrator in Training program
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and healthcare software systems
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
