Administrative Support Assistant II
About the role
The Student Health and Counseling Center within the Division of Student Affairs seeks an exceptional individual to join our team as the Administrative Support Assistant II. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to inclusivity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.
Responsibilities
- Greeting students and scheduling appointments
- Checking-in appointments and answering phones
- Relaying messages to more than 30 health providers and staff
- Entering and scanning medical records into the electronic medical record
- Releasing holds and rescheduling appointments as needed
- Checking student eligibility for services and verifying current forms in the electronic medical record
- Providing additional administrative support to teams within CAPS and completing duties such as taking meeting minutes for committees
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- General working knowledge of university infrastructure, policies, and procedures
- Thorough knowledge of office methods, procedures, practices, and equipment
- Knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling with demonstrated competence in writing
- Ability to learn, interpret independently, apply, and identify deviations from policies and procedures
- Ability to apply independent judgment, discretion, and initiative to address problems and develop solutions
- Basic typing and keyboarding skills
