About the role

The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) Office of Career and Technical Education (OCTE) operates 50 Area Technology Centers (ATCs) which serve 115 local feeder districts. A state Area Technology Center (ATC) is a secondary state operated school facility dedicated to the primary purpose of offering state approved four (4)-course Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways within CTE program areas identified by the OCTE.

Responsibilities

  • Provide office support of an administrative nature.
  • Obtain, compile, prepare, draft and/or maintain documents including articles, correspondence, financial records, reports, and/or timesheets.
  • Proofread documents, maintain filing systems, and/or schedule appointments or hearings.
  • Provide guidance according to policy and procedure.
  • Order office supplies and/or maintain inventory of such.
  • Maintain ATC budget/project control.
  • Process orders for other staff on state purchasing system.
  • Provide general information to others.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.

SUBSTITUTE EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

SUBSTITUTE EXPERIENCE FOR EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
