Administrative Specialist Senior
About the role
The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) Office of Career and Technical Education (OCTE) operates 50 Area Technology Centers (ATCs) which serve 115 local feeder districts. A state Area Technology Center (ATC) is a secondary state operated school facility dedicated to the primary purpose of offering state approved four (4)-course Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways within CTE program areas identified by the OCTE.
Responsibilities
- Provide office support of an administrative nature.
- Obtain, compile, prepare, draft and/or maintain documents including articles, correspondence, financial records, reports, and/or timesheets.
- Proofread documents, maintain filing systems, and/or schedule appointments or hearings.
- Provide guidance according to policy and procedure.
- Order office supplies and/or maintain inventory of such.
- Maintain ATC budget/project control.
- Process orders for other staff on state purchasing system.
- Provide general information to others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.
SUBSTITUTE EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
SUBSTITUTE EXPERIENCE FOR EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
