About the role
This position provides clerical and administrative support to the staff of Professional Services. This includes the following Departments: Activities, Psychology, and Rehabilitation Services.
Responsibilities
- Develop, review, scan, preview, type and reproduce departmental and administrative procedures/plans geared toward the specific disciplines within the department and/or facility.
- Help transcribe, type, and review/scan for appropriate language/grammar for various disciplines served.
- Provide considerable clerical and administrative support through the use of office technology utilizing a great deal of independence in the selection and presentation of various data independently developed and/or requested from others.
Requirements
- Advanced Microsoft Office Proficiency (demonstrated experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Document Editing and Proofreading Skills (experience reviewing, proofreading, and formatting reports, policies, procedures, and correspondence for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and consistency).
- Administrative Support Skills (ability to provide administrative or clerical support in a professional office environment, including document preparation, records management, scheduling, and customer service).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain organized filing systems (electronic and paper), meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
