Administrative Officer 2
About the role
This position provides high-level administrative support and participates in critical analyses and processes that help the Board of Pardons carry out its mission effectively.
Responsibilities
- Analyze commutation packets and reports to identify relevant information, request such information and track its receipt, and guide staff who assist in the completion of case analysis
- Attend Board and other meetings to receive accurate and timely communication, manage relations, and ensure efficiency; liaise with partner agencies to support positive working relationships and meet goals
- Collect, interpret, analyze, and summarize commutation information to be used as the basis of Executive action by the Board as well as public information and reports that will impact Board operations
- Help modify program policies as necessary to comply with evolving Board objectives; assist in drafting regulations, legislation, or Board action to improve operational efficiency
- Develop materials, presentations, and provide other assist to programs that contact and educate populations who would benefit from increased knowledge of Board processes
Qualifications
- One year as an Administrative Officer 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
- Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement
- A bachelor's degree
- Experience reviewing PA criminal court records
- The ability to perform essential job functions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience reviewing Department of Corrections report
- Experience using JNET/CLEAN
Work Schedule and Additional Information
Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, after completion of sufficient training. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
