Responsibilities

A Registered Professional Nurse who is responsible and accountable for the administration, management and quality of nursing care provided on the 7a-730p shift primarily including rotating holidays and weekends and flexibility to nights for vacation coverage or as designated by Vice President/Chief Nurse Officer and who participates in formulating Nursing Department Policy and has active input with the Clinical Directors and the Vice President/Chief Nurse Officer in formulating hospital policy.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred, Masters’ degree desirable.
  • Minimum Experience: Minimum of three years’ experience as a staff nurse with demonstrated charge nurse/leadership abilities, or minimum of one-year experience in a nursing managerial position.
  • Required Certification/Registration: Currently licensed and registered to practice as a registered nurse in New York State. Successful completion of a BLS Provider Course. BLS renewal not required once ACLS is obtained. Successful completion of ACLS within one year of hire. Successful completion of PALS within one year of hire.

Physical Requirements

  • Position will primarily be light work requiring to lift up to 25 pounds with occasional lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasional bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling and reaching is required.
  • Requires 80% sitting and 20% standing or walking.
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by spoken word is required.

Pay

$50.33 USD - $62.91 USD hourly.
