Job Description
To make an impact at Rehmann, you will:
- Create and manage client lists, consent forms, and new client set-ups.
- Manage SafeSend Gather tasks and document sorting.
- Communicate with clients regarding estimates, extensions, and notices.
- Coordinate tax return processing events such as creating organizers and reminders.
- Initiate and maintain effective communication with clients.
- Ensure accurate filing of extensions and estimates to GFR.
- Oversee e-file status, handle rejections, and manage Power of Attorney processing.
- Facilitate and coordinate Federal/State notices and responses.
- Maintain tracking for 1099 processing and PPT tax returns.
- Axcess Tax batch manager responsibilities include:
- Create and compare reports for tax returns and batch management.
- Track and manage tax return processes.
- Oversee batch extension processing and organizer creation and delivery.
- Ensure certified mailing processes are timely and recorded in GFR.
- Assist with CCH Scanning and AutoFlow.
Desired Skills and Experiences
- Associates degree, paralegal, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including preparing correspondence, reports, tables, and exhibits, and using Outlook, Excel, and tax-specific software for project management and scheduling.
- Clear, fact-based communication skills.
- The ability to handle communications and information professionally, including addressing issues requiring discretion or confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work and manage time to meet timelines and firm's expectations.
