About the role

The Dunn Area Tourism Authority seeks a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, along with strong organizational and technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supports smooth operations and exceptional visitor experiences through various tasks.
  • Performs data entry, file maintenance, answering phones, mail, and email.
  • Handles clerical duties such as expense reporting, record keeping, and coordinating meetings.
  • Coordinates calendar management, travel bookings, and oversees incoming correspondence and requests.
  • Independently creates reports, proposals, and documents as needed for meetings.
  • Takes meeting minutes and distributes summaries to board members.
  • Manages financial tasks including expense reports, processing payments, and invoices.
  • Assists visitors by providing information about local attractions, events, and services.
  • Collaborates with team members to enhance visitor engagement and satisfaction.
  • Supports marketing efforts by distributing promotional materials and updating social media platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent education/experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic office equipment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role is a plus.
  • A passion for tourism and local culture is highly desirable.
  • Valid NC Driver License required.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work flexible hours from 9am-2pm Monday-Friday.
  • Starting salary range determined by experience and qualifications.
