About the role
The Dunn Area Tourism Authority seeks a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, along with strong organizational and technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Supports smooth operations and exceptional visitor experiences through various tasks.
- Performs data entry, file maintenance, answering phones, mail, and email.
- Handles clerical duties such as expense reporting, record keeping, and coordinating meetings.
- Coordinates calendar management, travel bookings, and oversees incoming correspondence and requests.
- Independently creates reports, proposals, and documents as needed for meetings.
- Takes meeting minutes and distributes summaries to board members.
- Manages financial tasks including expense reports, processing payments, and invoices.
- Assists visitors by providing information about local attractions, events, and services.
- Collaborates with team members to enhance visitor engagement and satisfaction.
- Supports marketing efforts by distributing promotional materials and updating social media platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent education/experience in a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic office equipment.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in an administrative role is a plus.
- A passion for tourism and local culture is highly desirable.
- Valid NC Driver License required.
Qualifications
- Must be able to work flexible hours from 9am-2pm Monday-Friday.
- Starting salary range determined by experience and qualifications.
