This role involves a wide range of administrative and clerical support to assigned departments, including preparing reports, analyzing data with recommended actions, and supervising or monitoring work activities. Duties may be complex and involve access to confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the manager by maintaining records, files, reports, and other documentation required for operations.
  • Schedules and organizes complex activities such as meetings, travel, conferences, and department activities for all members of the department.
  • Masters the creation, management, and utilization of database templates.
  • Expertly produces general correspondence, polished memos, and professional business documents.
  • Proofreads copies for spelling, grammar, and layout, making appropriate corrections.
  • Provides standard and specialized reports for the manager using a variety of documents and files.
  • Provides feedback to management that will assist in the improvement of operations.
  • Involves a high degree of interaction with other departments, both internal and external.
  • Ensures all documents associated with activities are complete and accurate.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area; conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about; on rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred; specialized skills training/certification may be required.
  • Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
  • Knowledge of various business technologies, including Microsoft Office, along with strong technical documentation skills.
  • Must have experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree with administrative skills from a business school.
