Summary Of Responsibilities
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Compliance team, greets and directs visitors, and responds to calls and emails. This role serves as an intercompany liaison and requires strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to multitask, sound judgment in handling confidential information, and a friendly, professional demeanor.
Essential Job Functions
- Emerge and demonstrate the qualities of the TrueNorth Steel Game Changer definition.
- Greet visitors, direct them to the appropriate office, and ensure they sign in as required.
- Provide coverage for incoming phone calls for the Compliance phone line.
- Maintain cleanliness of Compliance office public spaces.
- Follow all company safety and quality requirements.
- Aid with client invoicing.
- Aid with monitoring due dates and notifying clients of upcoming compliance requirements.
- Aid with P-Card transactions related to the Compliance team.
- Send interoffice documents to Corporate daily or weekly, as needed.
- Distribute incoming mail and prepare all outgoing mail as needed.
- Aid with drug and alcohol testing program.
- Cook up lunches and supplies for meetings and events as needed.
- Aid in scheduling company activities related to the Compliance team.
- Purchase office supplies and misc. items for the Compliance team.
- Prompt and dependable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education And Work Experience
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- An associate’s degree in administration, accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience is preferred.
- A minimum of one to three years of administrative, front desk, and/or accounting experience is required.
