About the role

We are looking for a highly organized Administrative Assistant to provide dedicated support to senior leadership in Lanham, Maryland. This Contract position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving service environment, communicates with professionalism, and can manage both executive-level coordination and day-to-day administrative tasks with care. The role calls for sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information while keeping priorities on track.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the President's schedule by coordinating meetings, appointments, and time-sensitive commitments with internal teams and external contacts.
  • Create and organize agendas, presentation materials, reports, and written communications to support executive meetings and decision-making.
  • Manage domestic and international travel arrangements, ensuring itineraries, logistics, and related details are accurate and well planned.
  • Monitor timelines, follow through on outstanding items, and help keep strategic initiatives moving forward on schedule.
  • Act as a key point of coordination between the President and leadership staff, board members, and outside partners.
  • Support board and executive meetings by arranging logistics, preparing documentation, and helping ensure sessions run smoothly.
  • Provide limited personal assistance such as coordinating appointments, handling select errands, and supporting travel-related needs when requested.
  • Maintain orderly digital and physical records, conduct research, and compile information for briefings, special projects, events, and executive priorities.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in an executive support or senior administrative role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with collaboration platforms such as Zoom, Teams, or Google Workspace.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining responsive, flexible, and solution-oriented.

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience supporting senior executives, board-facing activities, or work in healthcare, nonprofit, or other regulated settings is a plus.
