As an Administrative Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting small group accounts, helping Account Managers deliver accurate renewals, smooth enrollments, and responsive service. In this role, you'll work closely with Account Managers, insurance carriers, and clients to keep benefit programs running efficiently. Your contributions will help maintain strong client relationships, support renewal activities, and ensure critical benefits information is managed accurately and on time.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Support Account Managers in servicing small group employee benefits clients and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Coordinate enrollments, terminations, and benefit changes with carriers and vendors to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
- Assist with employee benefits renewals by gathering data, preparing proposals, and reviewing plan options.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding benefits, billing, eligibility, and claims with professionalism and urgency.
- Maintain organized and accurate client records within agency management systems and carrier platforms.
- Prepare client-facing materials, including spreadsheets, presentations, and benefits summaries that support informed decision-making.
- Partner with insurance carriers to resolve issues, track outstanding items, and ensure timely follow-up.
- Assist with compliance-related documentation and processes, including ACA-related requirements.

Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in an administrative, office support, or customer service role.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Dedication to delivering high-quality client service and maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting employee benefits, insurance, HR, or related professional services teams.
- Familiarity with agency management systems or benefits administration platforms.
- Exposure to ACA compliance processes or employee benefits documentation.
- Interest in obtaining a Life & Health insurance license and pursuing a career in employee benefits.

Pay
Pay range: $24.04—$26.44 USD per hour. Any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with applicable state pay transparency laws, considering relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. Roles may also be eligible for supplemental compensation, such as performance-based bonus, commission, or equity.
