About the Role
The Zoning Division is a team of 36 diverse and talented staff members responsible for various tasks including residential and commercial permitting review, addressing, arbor and landscaping review, processing variances and special exceptions, and reviewing cases that go before the Development Review Committee.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Division Manager and Zoning Division staff with various complex administrative and confidential duties.
- Composes, proofreads, and edits correspondences, documents, memos, spreadsheets, minutes, logs, and reports for final approval or signature of the Division Manager.
- Coordinates travel arrangements for the Division.
- Prepares board or committee decisions for presentation to the Board of County Commissioners.
- Schedules, coordinates, and prepares meetings and agendas, as needed; collects and provides support materials.
- Handles appeals and public hearings requests in a timely manner.
- Manages Public Records for the Division.
- Processes purchase requests, invoices, refunds, and PCard/TCard documentation.
- Serves as the payroll custodian and supports payroll processing.
- Assesses and resolves computer, printer, and office equipment issues reported by staff; determines whether they can be resolved in-house or require escalation to ISS.
- Serves as the division's inventory custodian for all technology and equipment assets, maintaining accurate records of computers, laptops, monitors, phones, and other electronics, and coordinates equipment turn-ins.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with four (4) years of secretarial or administrative experience.
- An equivalent combination of relevant education or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay Grade: 013 - From $21.51 to $34.40
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
