Essential Functions
- Performs general clerical duties to include but not limited to: filing, copying, and data entering for Administrator, Social services and Activity department.
- Copies, prepares, and edits documents, reports, minutes, etc. as requested, ensuring compliance with standard formatting, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Checks records and documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Sets up and maintains files and records - establishes, maintains, updates, and manages departmental filing system as needed.
- Affirms that all files are accurately labeled, retained, and destroyed accordingly.
- Types and designs documents such as memos, emails, activity schedule, charts, tables, graphs, and spreadsheets while ensuring for clarity and accuracy.
- Works independently and within a team on special and non-recurring and ongoing projects for administrator, social services, and activities.
- Follows up with loss and missing under the direction of social service designee.
- Responsible for daily room checks, welcoming baskets, putting together admission packets, as part of the First Impressions program.
- Customer service tasks associated with new admissions in Lorber.
- Composes documentation of department metrics, budgets, price-comparisons, and other monthly departmental costs.
- Receives incoming calls and forwards calls to appropriate departments.
- Attends mandatory department meetings and in-service education.
- Regular attendance and punctuality.
- Aid residents with needs as appropriate.
Skills, Abilities And Experience
- Word processing and database programs literacy.
- Clerical skills including word processing, filing, knowledge of office procedures and practices, knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and initiative in accomplishing responsibilities.
- Possess effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage and work in a multicultural setting.
Education Requirements/Licenses/Certificates
Any combination of education and experience that would provide the necessary knowledge and abilities listed, typically: AA Degree preferred or equivalent experience. One year experience in similar setting preferred.
