Responsibilities
- Greets and directs visitors and associates in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Answers a high volume of telephone calls efficiently and directs them appropriately.
- Interacts and communicates with individuals at all levels of the center and organization.
- Reports any suspicious persons or activity immediately.
- Assists with administrative duties (e.g., typing, filing, copying, sorting mail, calculations) as requested by supervisor.
- Promotes the image and reputation of the System through servant leadership and open communication.
- Contributes to committees, workgroups, project management, and other collaborative efforts.
- Enrolls eligible associates in group insurance plans, reconciles withholdings, and maintains enrollment records.
- Maintains employment resumes, application forms, and associate personnel files in compliance with guidelines and regulations.
- Assists with applicant interviews and conducts pre-screening (e.g., reference checks, abuse registry, license/certification verification, criminal record checks, drug testing).
- Answers inquiries on job openings, employment verification, benefit claims, and provides references in accordance with procedural guidelines and laws.
- Performs other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the System.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to read, interpret, and write routine reports, correspondence, and procedural documents.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals).
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram format.
- Ability to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to sit, talk, or hear.
- Frequently required to walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects/tools.
- Occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
