Adjunct Instructor - Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Education

Job Duties

• Teach courses via on-ground as assigned.
• Teach evening, off-campus, and distance-based courses as required.
• Post grades during the term for student feedback and submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar.
• Complete required College trainings and complete all required reports such as attendance, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions and administer and return surveys by the required deadlines.
• Advise the Program Chair or Dean at the earliest possibility if you are unable to teach a class.
• Attend meetings as requested by the Program Chair and/or Dean.
• Comply with all the College’s and TBR’s policies and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of an associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
• Must have certification as an Instructor/Coordinator in the State of TN.
• Must be licensed as a Paramedic in TN; Paramedic licensure must be free from revocation, denial, or suspension.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Supervisor or management experience.
• Prior teaching experience.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Pay

$600 per credit hour
