Primary Responsibilities
- Create courses aligned with learning outcomes and encourage student engagement.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment that promotes critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Utilize various assessment methods to evaluate student progress and course effectiveness.
- Support students in achieving their academic, personal, and career goals while maintaining a respectful and supportive atmosphere.
- Lead and collaborate within and beyond the academic community to enhance student success and professional development.
Qualifications
- A degree in Aviation Maintenance, Technology, or Management, or relevant work experience.
- Three to five years of teaching experience in aviation.
- Experience with Brightspace System.
- Availability to maintain office hours for advising, mentoring, and coaching students.
- Ability to develop and revise courses and instructional materials as needed.
- Responsibility for posting syllabi and grades on Brightspace.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to work with diverse groups.
- Experience working with a diverse student population and a commitment to the college's open access mission.
Pay
The salary range is as follows per contact hour based on education:
- Bachelor's degree - $743
- Master's degree - $800
- Master's degree +30 credits - $837
- Doctorate/Terminal degree (including MFA) - $943
The offered salary will be determined by the respective collective bargaining agreement and the applicant's qualifications.
