About the role

The role of Aviation Instructor at Everglades University is designed to provide high-quality aviation education to students. The instructor will be responsible for teaching various aviation courses and ensuring that students meet the necessary academic standards.

Responsibilities

  • Teach aviation courses including but not limited to aviation theory, flight operations, and aviation safety.
  • Develop and maintain course materials and lesson plans.
  • Mentor and guide students to achieve their academic goals.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities.
  • Assist in the recruitment and orientation of new students.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in Aviation Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least three years of teaching experience in aviation education.
  • Valid commercial pilot license with multi-engine rating.
  • Experience in flight instruction and aviation safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Strong commitment to aviation education and safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Skills

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations and policies.
