Adjunct Faculty - Nursing and Public Heallth
Responsibilities
- Provide part-time instruction to students, hired on a per-course/per-semester basis.
- Adhere to all Adelphi Faculty policies and procedures, as defined in the Faculty Handbook.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse licensed in the State of New York.
- Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Minimum of five years of practice experience in specialty area (e.g. Adult Health, Pediatrics, OB etc.).
- Current BLS certification if teaching clinical.
- Effective time management skills.
- Effective written communication skills.
- Ability to teach across undergraduate and/or graduate curricula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to students.
- Project a professional and appropriate demeanor when interacting with colleagues and students.
- Provide useful feedback to students regarding their coursework and performance.
About the Role
The College of Nursing and Public Health at Adelphi University is seeking adjunct professors for the Summer 2026 semester (at both our Garden City, NY and Manhattan extension center locations).

Pay
In compliance with New York’s Pay Transparency Act, the salary for this position is $1,866 per credit.
